Day 2 with ChatGPT
I've been spending more time with ChatGPT today to understand how to interact with it and see how it can be useful for me. I'm really impressed by its ability to understand what I'm saying and the quality of the interaction. It's hard to predict exactly how powerful it will become and how it will help us in the future, but from what I've seen so far, it already has a lot to offer.
I recently created this website to document my learning journey with my kids. We pick a topic, like "healthy eating," and then choose books and documentaries to learn from. We spend an hour each day studying these resources and discussing what we've learned, then try to implement it in our daily lives. However, after interacting with ChatGPT, I'm considering using it as a resource for learning about these topics as well. Our conversation this morning was really impressive, and it feels like ChatGPT and other AI technologies will change the way we find information, learn, and work. I think it's important to start learning how to effectively communicate with AI now, just like we learned how to use search engines like Google about 20 years ago.

- if you want to learn about a specific topic you can ask ChatGPT to propose a learning program for you. I did that and it created a 10 days program to learn about "eating healthy"
- I asked the AI which questions I should ask on day 1 for the first topic and it proposed a (very sensible) list of questions to seed the conversation
- you can ask the AI how you can interact with it and it will provide useful recommendations. For example in the context of kids education it suggested it can help to find the appropriate topics and skills to learn about but it can also generate quiz to check they've understood and assimilated!
